What is torn bdh?

Torn bdh is a new form of retreadable and re-usable food packaging. Torn bdh is a new edible and biodegradable food packaging that can be used to cover leftovers and create fresh lunch packs. It also works for burritos, flatbreads, burgers, as well as wraps which you can store in your fridge for up to 3 days. Torn bdhis easy to use, just place your food inside the torn and seal the edges.

Torn bdhis a revolutionary new form of reusable, recyclable and edible food packaging. This product is environmentally friendly, biodegradable and retreadable. It has no chemicals or preservatives that could hurt our health. It is made out of rice paper which is completely tear-proof and waterproof.

How does it compare to other food packaging? 

There are several similar products on the market, however torn bdhis is the only one that is edible and biodegradable. The others are known to be harmful and toxic to our health as well as being wasteful of our resources since they have chemicals, preservatives and fillers in them. After a week the other food packaging will need to be thrown away or recycled which can be harmful to nature or the environment. Some retreadable products include: peanut wraps made out of plastic bags and aluminum foil, paper cups made out of plastic, paper and vinyl that can be used for hot chocolate or juice.


Are there any drawbacks?

Torn bdhis does not require excessive amounts of materials to make. Just by using the biodegradable material and the only three steps, we were able to create a reusable and retreadable food packaging that is completely safe for consumption and has no harmful chemicals. Another drawback is that it is not waterproof, which means if you spill something on your torn bdhis it will leak into your food which may cause a problem with bacteria growth.
